NZCB Apprentice Challenge Sponsored by ITM 2024

Is your apprentice up for the challenge?

Applications for the 2024 NZCB Apprentice Challenge Sponsored by ITM, are now open.

Regional competitions will take place nationwide on April 6, at ITM stores and selected venues, where carpentry apprentices will be tasked with a challenging project, over an eight-hour period for a specific end user.

Thanks to ITM’s sponsorship, every competitor will receive a prize pack for participating, along with major prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

Winners from each region will advance onto the National Final being held in conjunction with the NZCB Conference & Expo, on 21 and 22 June in Wellington. Here, they will compete for the Ken Read Memorial Trophy and up to $50,000 in prizes. This is also a valuable opportunity to network, learn, be inspired and gain a big picture view of the building industry.

The challenge is free for all NZCB Apprentice Network Trainee Members and costs $50 for an apprentice not enrolled as a NZCB Trainee Member.

NOTE: Apprentices employed by NZCB Members must be registered as a Trainee Member under the NZCB Apprentice Network.
