Grant Florence

CHIEF EXECUTIVE

My responsibilities include leading the delivery of the organisation’s Strategic and Management Plans, Governance and operational engagement with the NZCB Board, and liaison with other strategic stakeholders. Having worked in the building industry in various leadership positions for a number of years, I am passionate about the opportunities that NZCB and its members can deliver to the communities of New Zealand.

Karla Farrar

COMMUNICATIONS & GROUP SERVICES MANAGER

As Communications Manager my role is to effectively inform and promote NZCB, its brand, its people, its mission and its products. I am also responsible for all aspects of benefits for our members, from sourcing new and exciting deals and discounts to ensuring a rewarding and knowledgeable annual conference is delivered. I am an innovative, creative and experienced marketing communications leader with a breadth of knowledge across large and small New Zealand organisations. I flourish in challenging environments where I can lead the strategy and work as part of a cross functional team to deliver exceptional results. Whether its acquisition, digital development, brand or loyalty I have the skills and know how to make a difference.

Shane Ririnui

EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL MANAGER

I have been involved in many areas within the building industry. I am a tiler by trade and have a background in the spouting, balustrade and handrail industries. I am your ‘on the road’ guy for the North Island, delivering Building Trade Professionals workshops – to keep all our members informed with the latest industry trends and regulations. I will also be coordinating all ITAB apprentices and dropping in and working closely with trade training providers in their area.

Trudi Pipes

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO CHIEF EXECUTIVE

I support the Chief Executive to assist in the delivery of governance projects for NZCB. This includes engaging with the Board of Directors, providing key administration services to the Board Chairperson and Directors, as well as support to deliver a range of key projects – including acting as a key liaison point as required. I also support the wider association, Regional Presidents, Management Team and Staff across a range of tasks as requested. I enjoy working in a member organisation, where all NSO staff are united in their dedication to providing services and assistance to our wonderful NZCB members.

Nick Matthews

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – SOUTH ISLAND

I have a background as a Trade Qualified Carpenter and have worked in Tertiary Education training ITAB Apprentices. Based in Christchurch, I engage with builders and carpenters around the South Island by delivering our Building Trade Professionals workshops, keeping our members well informed of the latest changes within our industry. I also coordinate the ITAB Apprenticeship Programme on behalf of NZCB and work closely in partnership with ITAB accredited Industry Training Providers throughout NZ.

Andrew Macdonald

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - AUCKLAND

In the past I have been a director of a small business, and am a cabinetmaker by trade, so I appreciate some of the issues builders come up against while running their own businesses. It’s great to work for an organisation which supports business owners as well as providing their clients with peace of mind.

Sue Carrick

NEW MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

My role as New Membership Coordinator includes all the processing of new membership applications and changes to our current memberships. If you need to upgrade from an Individual to a Business member or are making any company changes then please contact me.

Ashleigh Fletcher

MARKETING EXECUTIVE & DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

My role is to support and deliver all regional marketing campaigns, as well as support the Communications & Group Services Manager. I am an experienced marketing professional with a demonstrated history of working in the design and communication sectors, within leading organisations in consultancy, automotive and FMCG industries. I have a wealth of expertise across all facets of marketing; from communications, digital marketing, sponsorship, events and PR, data-driven marketing, through to research, data insights and product management.

Julie Thomas

REVERE MAGAZINE EDITOR & PROJECT COORDINATOR

My role as Project Coordinator involves providing support to the Chief Executive and other senior staff with the development and launch of new services and service initiatives for members. I have a background in Account/Project Management in the print industry and design in the building industry and I am the point of contact for Certified Plans and the REVERE magazine. I also organise media with the presidents for regional events and administer the AST fund applications.

Linda Moody

INHOUSE MAGAZINE & INTOUCH ENEWS EDITOR

InHouse is the official magazine of NZCB and is published bi-monthly in hard copy and online. InTouch and is the official email newsletter of NZCB and is published monthly. Both publications contain educational and informative articles with the latest building laws, regulations, announcements, products and industry news and are distributed to 3500 of our builder members, industry partners and stakeholders, nationwide ITAB carpentry apprentices and polytechnics. 

My role as editor of these publications is to plan, source, revise and coordinate all editorial and advertorial content. I’m always on the lookout for interesting stories, building projects and educational content. Georgia Courtney

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS COORDINATOR

My role is responsible for managing the NZCB membership services, as well as answering your incoming phone calls and to assist members in arranging discounts and deals that NZCB offer including Fisher and Paykel orders and AA Roadside Assistance. I also manage the online shop and all outgoing merchandise orders.

Kelly Sheridan​

CUSTOMER LIAISON COORDINATOR​

The role of Customer Liaison Coordinator is to field enquiries from homeowners and NZCB members, providing advice about your working relationship, and assisting in the facilitation of successful outcomes.

Rose-Anne Smith

ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR

My role with NZCB includes invoicing and receipting membership & advertising levy subscriptions. I enjoy working in a member organisation, where all NSO staff are united in their dedication to providing services and assistance to our wonderful NZCB members.
