NZCB for Outstanding Results

All members of NZCB have to meet strict entry criteria before they’re accepted, which is not the case for other trade associations. These criteria include the requirement of a formal trade qualification, which protects you from underqualified builders who might not be able to live up to their promises.

The Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee

To be eligible to apply for our Halo ten-year guarantee, you should choose a New Zealand Certified Builder for your residential renovation or new build project. Working with an NZCB builder means you can apply for comprehensive protection for 10 years after your completion date.

Making Dreams Reality

Building a home is a big decision, and you can be sure that an NZCB member will work hard to deliver on their promises. Whether you want a high-end build in a quiet Oamaru suburb, a coastal holiday home in Dunedin, or to renovate your house by the lake in Queenstown, we can connect you with a builder in your area who can turn your ideas into reality.

We set high standards for all our builders. In addition to holding trade qualifications, when builders join NZCB, they can keep up with the latest building techniques and undergo regular training to stay informed about industry developments and regulatory requirements.

Our Approach

All NZCB members hold a minimum trade qualification of NZ Certificate Level 4 in Carpentry. We don’t accept builders who don’t have this minimum qualification into our association.

Your NZCB builder will provide a projected timeframe and keep you updated on any changes that may arise during your fresh home build or renovation. Several factors can affect the timeline, including delays in securing materials from overseas, weather conditions, and permit approvals.
